Two-bit and me went to see Johnny. He said that he was too young to die, that he hadn't seen enough. His mother came to see him, and he told the nurse to send her away. Poor Johnny. Then he passed out. Two-bit had got gone with the wind for Johnny, and he told the nurse to give it to hi when he woke up. Then Two-bit said that we should go see Dally. I'm so worried about Johnny... I hope he'll make it. NO! He will make it! Johnny can't die...
On our way to see Dally, we ran into Johnny's mother. She was EVIL! Or at least, mean. I can see how Johnny feels, that must be awful. When we got to Dally, he was fine, and he asked for Two-bit's switch blade. I don't know what he wants in for, being in a hospital and such. Then we ran into Cherry and she told us that the Socs would fight by our rules. Two-bit left, and Cherry told me that Randy wansn't not fighting he was chicken, it was because he was tired of the fighting. I guess things ARE rough all around.
